Frequently Asked Questions
What is a vector file, and why do I need one?
A vector file (like an SVG or EPS) uses mathematical paths instead of pixels. This means it can be scaled up to any size without becoming blurry or jagged. For laser engraving or cutting products, our machines require these sharp, clean vector lines to trace and create perfect cuts.
How do I know if my file is a vector or a standard image?
Standard images like screenshots, photos, and web images usually end in .png, .jpg, or .jpeg. If you zoom in close on a standard image and the edges look blurry or pixelated, it needs to be converted. Vector files typically end in .svg, .eps, or .ai and stay perfectly sharp no matter how close you zoom in.
Can I use the converted file outside of The Tree Shop?
Yes, absolutely! Once we email the final .svg, .eps, and .png assets to you, you have complete ownership of them. You are free to keep them forever and use them for any other personal or business crafting projects, printing services, or branding needs anywhere you like.
Do you offer revisions if the vector doesn't look right?
Yes, your satisfaction is our priority! If the converted vector lines don't perfectly match your original image or if a line looks slightly off, just reply to our delivery email. We will gladly make the necessary adjustments to ensure it is 100% production-ready for you.
