Frequently Asked Questions
Is this vinyl applied with a heat press, or works like a sticker?
This is Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV), which means it does not have a sticky adhesive backing for hard surfaces. It requires heat and pressure from a heat press, standard iron, or easy press to permanently fuse the vinyl into the fibers of shirts, hoodies, canvas bags, and other fabrics.
Do I need to mirror my design layout before cutting this HTV?
Yes, absolutely! Because you are cutting your design from the reverse side of the vinyl material through the matte adhesive layer, you must always flip or mirror your text and graphic layouts horizontally in your software program before sending it to cut.
Will the vinyl graphic crack, peel, or wrinkle up after going through the washing machine?
No! When applied using the proper temperature and pressure settings, Siser EasyWeed forms an incredibly durable, permanent bond with the underlying textile weave. It is designed to stretch slightly with the fabric and withstand dozens of washes without peeling or fading.
What happens if I accidentally pull up a small piece of my design while weeding?
Thanks to Siser's tacky pressure-sensitive clear carrier backing, mistakes are easy to fix! If a small dot or letter loop accidentally lifts up while you are weeding, you can simply press the piece right back down onto the sticky plastic carrier, and it will stay securely in place for your press.
